Hera and Zeus

     Hera, the queen of Olympus, was Zeus’s first wife. Unfortunately, she had an awful temper, and even Zeus himself feared her fits. When Zeus first asked Hera to be his wife, she refused. The seconded time, Zeus created a thunderstorm, and transformed himself into a little cuckoo, and pretended to be in distress. He flew into Hera’s arms, and she pitied the little bird, and hugged it close, and soon found herself holding Zeus, instead of the little bird. Zeus won Hera and all nature burst into bloom for their wedding.
