For this
experiment, you will need;

Flatten one end of the straw and cut it into a
triangular shape, effectively producing a double reed. Moisten it and blow gently
into it to produce a shrill tone. Reduce the length of this pipe by cutting some of
it off with the scissors and the pitch of the note should rise. You have produced a
primative Woodwind instrument.
