1. Go to the scroll-down menu and select two units of measurement. For example, if you wish to convert miles to kilometers just select Kilometer-Mile.

2. Enter an amount to convert, but only enter one digit in the second field. If you enter more than one digit in the second field, 345 for example, the program will interpret your response to mean 34.5 units not .345 units.

3. Click the Metric or English radio button to tell the program which units you are putting in. For example, if you want to know how many miles are in 34.5 kilometers, you would push the Metric button since you are inputting a metric measurement.

If a unit of measurement has different values in the United States and in the United Kingdom, you may assume that the values correspond to United States units.
