Look around and the one thing that you will be sure to notice is the
construction. Hotels, shopping centers, restaurants and clubs are just a
few of the many buildings going up in Nicaragua. The government also
plans major improvements of existing roadways and the creation of many
new roads. All of this translates into a high demand for construction
equipment which Nicarauga's local manufacturing sector does not produce.
The construction industry has experienced ever-increasing growth since
1993 which is likely to continue. Furthermore, the new Tax and
Commericial Justice Law as well as other recent legislation has made it
easier for construction equipment to be imported.
