Aphrodite
Aphrodite, the goddess of love, was born on the island of
Cytherea, South of the Pelopennes. She had one immortal son: Eros. Aphrodite was
married with Hephaistos, but later in
the mythology Ares, the god of war, became
the husband of Aphrodite. She was also the mother of Aeneas that is why she protected him of
great dangers. But Hera, goddess of weddings, hated Aeneas. Paris
was his cousin. Paris got the change to choose the handsomest
Goddess: Pallas Athene, Hera and Afrodite. Paris' decision was
Aphrodite, because she promised him Helena
of Sparta (the most beatiful woman on
earth at the time). This caused the Trojan war. And because this
choise of Paris Hera hated every Trojan.
