Violent Volcanic Eruptions

During any volcanic eruption, volcanic gas, ash and debris are released into the air by the volcano. These materials spewed out by the volcano can cause serious damage.

Carbon Dioxide, a common form of volcanic gas, is sometimes released in lethal concentrations. This can cause suffocation and serious damage to the respiratory systems of humans and animals.

An avalanche of superheated steam and fiery hot ashes can also causes deaths in areas near the volcano. They can also rain down several miles away from the volcano to start fires in nearby settlements.
