Nuclear Power is one of the only alternative energy forms that is effective, independent of location. Instead of discussing the best positions of placing a nuclear power facility, this page will include information about the number of world nuclear power stations and where exactly these stations are located.

Currently about 440 nuclear power stations are operating in the world. Where there are many people there are usually many nuclear power plants. The following maps from the INSC are some examples of countries that have high population densities, and also a great number of nuclear power plants. This idea is logical, because a large population means that a great amount of energy will be used up. The converse of this idea is not true, though. In some areas of high population, there are no nuclear power plants, which attests to the availability of alternative energy.
