A preposition is a word which shows the relationship between an object and another word in the sentence.

                   For Example:  We are going to Cleveland this summer.

                   Another example:   The main office is in Vancouver.



                  

The primary prepositions in common use are:

about above at before between by during
for from if since near past since
to towards until under up upon

Select each of the following prepositions :



  1. Who plans to got attend the recital tonight?
  2. We walked along the beach.
  3. I had to be home before nine.
  4. We slept by the fireplace on Christmas Eve.

  7. The men stand along the church everyday.
  8. Throughout his life, he wrote poetry.
  9. He looked closely at the fish on the counter.
  10. The girls walk to school.
