
In the twisted Clerkenwell Close north of the green is another distinguished building, the church St James from 1788-92. Turn to the left to Pear Tree Court and to the left again to Farrington Lane Behind a glasspane between number 14 and 16 can you see the rest of the Middle Ages well Clark´s well which has given the place its name.The good water from the well is olso the condition of Booth´s ginfactory from the 18th. century in Tummill Street a little longer in front.
