
Aldgate East, which is on the edge of the centre of London, is homeplace for while
chapel artgallery which is one of the best places for modern art in London. Its halls are
big, light and roomy.Earlier big artists are represented on the gallery, for example :
Fernard Leger, Lucian Freud, and Bill Viola, the American videoartist. There is a good
cafe in the gallery.
Close to the gallery, on the eastern side down a very small alley, there is a bookstore,
every anarchistīs sky.
Opposite the gallery is Whitechapel Library which especially is known for its collection
of antique books. The library is created by Passmore Eswards one hundred years ago.
In June there is a yearly a musicfestival in the Christian church.
There is a jumple sale Sunday morning in Brick Lane which is close to Aldgate East. Here
you can olso find a lot of Bangladeshi restaurants and candyshops..
