We can only talk and think about quitting for so long. Eventually we have to do it. But the question is HOW do we do it?
I reach for a cigarette when I'm feeling down. It makes me feel better. I start to feel depressed when I don't smoke. I smoke when I'm doing something I enjoy to complete my sense of pleasure. And so the list goes on ... until we develop serious medical conditions related to smoking! Then we look at the situation seriously, and with many of us, it seems only then! My message to you all is quit now. The pain of withdrawal, and the aggravation and annoyance we feel is all worth it, our health will improve, as will our disposition. Try being persistent, and don't give up on giving up. Each time you try, give it your best go. You will eventually succeed. |
