I smoked for 25 years until I lost my mother to lung cancer caused by cigarettes. I have been smoke free for 5 years now and I have to say I feel great. I do not allow myself to be around anyone smoking. I hate the smell now. Good luck to all that has quit and to those who are trying to quit.

I really liked your site. I used the information to help me write an essay on smoking for my school work (don't worry, I didn't copy!)
I found that your pages had some really awsome info, and that if more people would look at this site, maybe less people would start smoking, and more people would make a bigger effort to quit!
Keep up the great work! I bookmarked this site, and plan to show my mother it (she smokes). Maybe after reading all of this, she won't smoke so much, and maybe she'll even quit.

I think this is a great website. some hard work has gone into this. I am 18 and have smoked for 4 years. only properly for 2 thought. I am also asthmatic which doesnt help.
This site has really oput smoking in perspective for me. I just want to tell the IMMATURE CHILDREN who write stupid things in this guest book to GET A LIFE. hey team 17360 you guys did a really GREAT job and i think that this site is really neat!!!! your site and another one called : Teen smoking spoke simple english! i had a bio proj to do (i really hate bio) on smoking and its consequences and believe me i was in no mood to read through any long boring texts, with scientic words that i have no clue about! so i was quite relaxed when i went through the pages (love the humour on the site) and i found what i was looking for! thanx a lot guyz for being such as sucess. ps- i couldn't help notice that u did the major part of the wark bet july and aug '98. la la la well i wonder who's b-day was on aug 17th?

I just wanted to tell you that I am 15 years old and have been smoking for about 2 1/2 years and it has done nothing to me. I'm sure that I might have problems in the future and I can see the consequences of my actions, but this is what I want to do. I do play to quit oneday. I have a boyfriend and he doesn't smoke and I know he wants me to quit, so if I plan on being with him I gotta quit. I play basketball, i'm a cheerleader, and I run track. It has no affect on my breathing what-so-ever, but maybe because I don't smoke everyday..Just every weekend..
