To begin drawing with the following instructions, there are two things you need to do. The first thing is to run Paint. Once the program has booted, you need to adjust the image attributes for the canvas that you will be working on. To do this click Image, and then click Attributes. The next screen that appears is the Attribute screen. For the Units, select inches. Set the Width and Height to 2. Under Colors select colors. When all of this has been done click Ok. Now to begin. The Smiley FaceTo begin drawing the smiley face select the Ellipse Button. Once again, this button is the last button on the left. Move the mouse pointer to the canvas. Press the Shift key on your Keyboard and click and drag the mouse until the circle size of your desire is drawn (do not exceed the canvas size). Know release the mouse button. After the mouse button has been released release the shift key.
Now that the big circle is drawn you need to create two smaller circles. To do this make sure that the Ellipse tool is selected out of the toolbox. Next choose the second rectangle in the Button options. This is located just below the toolbar. Right click the color black in your color palette, to make it the background color. Draw two smaller circles inside the larger circle so that the two circles look like eyes.
Choose the line tool (just below the spray paint button) and draw a vertical line in-between the eyes. If the line looks too thin you can adjust the thickness of the line by choosing a thicker line in the lines option. (Same location as were we adjusted the Ellipse button) This is the nose so don't make the line too long.
Choose the Curve Button and draw a straight line across for the mouth. Click and drag the center of that line down so the straight line turns into a curve that looks like a smiley face mouth. Release the mouse button and click on the mouth again. Choose the Fill with color button. If the mouth disappears you will have to redraw the mouth and make sure you click and drag to draw the curve and then release the mouse button and click the curve again to set the curve.
Left click the color yellow in your color palette. Choose the fill with color button. Click any of the white areas inside the smiley face. This will color the face yellow. Save the image by clicking File and then clicking Save. Congratulations!
