To understand this web site, one must be aware of the broad definition of imperialism. It is simply this: the policy of forming and maintaining empires. The emphasis of this site is on military imperialism but, religious, ideological and other methods are discussed.
The Bios Section of this site explores the history of the militaristic (ie Genghis Khan, Napoleon) and ideological (ie Trotsky, Mussolini) attempts and profiles the would-be world dictators. In it, we attempt to explain on an individual basis, why these people strive for such power and why they all ultimately fail. The Empires Section, explores the most prolific examples of near world domination. The site demonstrates other forms of global unity in the Essays Section, such as the United Nations, international corporate conglomerates, religion and technology. The Essays Section also contains theories and other articles related to world domination.
