electric snow: tv in our time aims to help students in grades 7 to 12 become more aware of what they see on television and how it affects them.
We aren't trying to be an encyclopedia, or an all-encompassing site on media literacy. Our goal, through the articles, the interactions, and the bulletin boards is to introduce students to the different sides of issues surrounding television, and provide them with the resources to do their own research. Because we want the site to be accesible to as many people as possible, we've provided help files in both Swedish and English that introduce each article and explain why it is relevant. Selected articles also have lesson plans, and each article not on a white background has an alternate version for teachers to print out.
