the following sites do not by any means describe all the sites there are about colleges, but they are perhaps the "cream of the crop" in our opinion.  a more complete listing of sites can be found through yahoo (link at the bottom).

bolt college planner - message boards, top ten lists of colleges in various areas, several sections chock full of stories/trends/etc. for college or high school students.

the princeton review - book publishing company; web site features "apply!" a service that selects colleges for you based on your criteria.

kaplan - various career information.  also offers background information on every standardized test you could dream of.

college board online - check sat dates and examine mock sat questions of the day.

educational testing service - makers of the sats, affiliated with www.collegeboard.org; interesting to check out.

yahoo - and of course, there are yahoo's listings:
college resources - a constantly updated listing of college resources on yahoo.
college web sites - a place for you to locate the web page of a college you are interested in, if they have one.
