this web page was created by two high school students, gregory barber and matthew jennings. they themselves, being ready for college, looked around the internet for information. what they found was that they couldn't find straight honest information about colleges, because only colleges release web pages about themselves, and in their web pages, they only speak of the positive factors of the college.
so, in an attempt to get some honest, unbiased information out about colleges, they constructed a web resource full of college "ratings," the appraisal section. these are submitted by students of a college, or by high school students who have visited the college and found out some things about it.
another thing these two discovered that couldn't be found openly about college was what the experience was like. typically, it is portrayed one way by the media, another way by parents, and an entirely different way by college administrators. as a result, they constructed a collection of college stories, called adventure.
the final resource on this web page is something that is necessary for one's college preparation. although it may only appear to be useful to high school students entering college, it is also of value to anyone wishing to learn or reinforce the basic concepts of math, science, and english reasoning. this section is called admission and is a repository of math, science, and verbal problems with which one may practice in order to prepare himself for the sat or act.
