Probability is the chance of something happening; it is expressed in percents.  To calculate the probability of an event you divide the number of chances of a certain event happening by the number of chances of anything happening.

    (1)  You have a notebook of 23 sheets of paper; and 3 of them are black.  A page falls from your notebook; what is the probability is was a black sheet?

    (2)  The police have cornered this criminal in a small 23 home community.  If they have only 46 hours to find him, and they can fully search one house in 2 hours and 23 minutes hours, will they find him?

    (3)  Amy is going on a trip through Fredericksburg, VA.  She travels 3 miles through the city.  On average, there are 2 fast food restaurants per mile on Fredericksburg's roads.  If Amy encounters a fast food restaurant, she'll stop and eat; what are the changes that Amy found and stopped at a fast food restaurant in her 3 mile trek through Fredericksburg?
