this section contains problems and answers for various concepts that are found on the sat and act tests. we don't guarantee that questions will be presented in the format given here; instead, these questions should be used to test your own familiarity with the individual concepts. this section is not specialized for either standardized test, but it will give you a good idea of what skills you will be tested with on the tests. below are three basic areas: verbal, math and science. have fun! from what we've seen, it seems practice and familiarity with these concepts is really what helps you take a standardized test more efficiently. if you are taking the sat test, we'd recommend a practice book such as "8 Real SATs" for learning the question types. but any such practice books will help you out. |

verbal knowledge is acquired mostly through reading and writing. the more of each you do, the better you'll do on the verbal section of these tests. aside from these activities and studying vocabulary words you've received in school, you can really only prepare by familiarizing yourself with the question types. single sentence completion

for the math problems, it's absolutely crucial that you understand the concepts. the difficult questions require thorough understanding of the concepts, as well as the ability to apply this understanding.
