Genetic engineering is a scientific method that manipulates genetic material in order to alter the affects of heredity in a cell, organism, or population.  It is a fairly new process that has only been around for a few decades.  There are many forms and uses for genetic engineering. In this section, we have included genetic engineering in plants, animals, and humans.  We have only presented the scientific point of view, the ideas are not based on the ethics of genetic engineering.
