Regular Tessellations: Hands-On Activity
#1 (small image)
Cut-out and Experiment Yourself ---- Totally Tessellated @ http://library.advanced.org/16661/
Instructions: Print this page and then close this window. Here are some regular
polygons that you can cut out and experiment with. The number of sides is shown in
a large font, and the number of degrees in each angle is shown in a small font.
If you haven't already read about which regular polygons will tessellate by themselves, try figuring it out yourself. If you have already read about which regular polygons will tessellate, then see for yourself why the other regular polygons won't tessellate. Important Note: Don't try to put different regular polygons together yet, because these are regular polyons of different side lengths. (You will get a chance later.)
