Regular Tessellations - tessellations of only one type of regular polygon
Semiregular Tessellations - tessellations that involve more than one type of regular polygon and that have the same polygon arrangement at every vertex

 

There are other tessellations that involve regular polygons (demiregular tessellations, for example), but these are more complex and will be covered later.
