Located on 1,500 square kilometers of woodland in the eastern Zambia, the Lavushi Manda National Park is home to the elephant, lion, buffalo, sable, and roan and other antelopes. The park is situated on the slopes of the Lavushi Mountain. While the park is open to tourists all the year round, there are no camping or other facilities. As a result, visitors have to carry all supplies themselves and beware of dangerous animals when camping in the reserve. Precautions also need to be taken against malaria.
