Since ancient times people have dreamed of flight. Flight has
featured in myths and fairy tales for many years. Two brothers, by the names of Wilbur and Orville Wright decided to do
something about that dream when, working from their bicycle shop they made the worlds
first airplane. Since that day, aircraft technology has grown at an amazing rate. It is now possible to fly around the globe in the space of 24 hours, and to cross the Atlantic ocean on a magnificient plane the travels faster than the speed of sound. A plane has also been piloted around the world with no stops and no refuelling. Some call our era the age of flight.
