Jack
Jack Kilby invneted the monolithic integrated
circuit which is used in electronic systems. From 1947 he was responsible for the
development of thick film ICs, and in 1958 he joined Texas Instruments where he was
responsible for development of integrated circuits and applications. Within a year he had
invented the monolithic integrated circuit. In 1970 he left the company and began to work
as an independent inventor.
