| Henry Ford is best remembered for his pioneering work on the idea of an
assembly line for complex products such as cars. It revolutionized the auto industry, and
indeed every other manufacturing industry. Ford showed a great interest in mechanics,
constructing a steam engine at the age of 15. In 1893 he created an internal combustion
engine and three years later he constructed his first automobile. In 1903 he founded the
Ford Motor Company, which is now one of the leading worldwide manufacturers of cars |
