government from its citizens. Taxes are used to
pay for the government's various operations and
services.
Trust
A group of
businesses cooperating to reduce competition and
control prices. Because this is harmful to
consumers, causing them to pay excessive prices, antitrust
legislation aims at restricting this
practive or stopping it altogether.
