Eons ago, great empires ruled the world. In their glorious reigns, they created many wonders. These creations lasted for ages, and today they stand as monuments to the magnificent achievements of those empires, now long gone--but not forgotten.
The Romans, the Aztecs, the Egyptians, and the Chinese all left their collective fingerprints on the face of the earth. They built great cities and delicate works of art. They built in hot deserts and cold mountains alike, undaunted by the whims of nature. They faced many hurdles presented by the elements, time, and a lack of resources but the power of the indomitable human spirit proved equal to any and all obstacles.
These pioneers in medicine, architecture, the arts, the sciences, and philosophy applied themselves for the good of humanity. They found new methods, explored new ways, and in doing so paved the way for others who followed. We are forever indebted to those empires past.
