major arc:

The major arc XC-B consists of points A and B and all points of the circle in the exterior of central angle AOB.

means:

b and c are the means of the proportion a/b = c/d.

median of a trapezoid:

A segment that joins the midpoints of the legs.

midpoint of an arc:

A point M is the midpoint of AMB if AM = MB.

midpoint of a segment:

The point at which a segment is divided into two congruent segments.

minor arc:

The minor arc, TB, of central angle AOB consists of points A, B, and all points on the circle that lie in the interior of the central angle.
