opposites:

Two numbers whose sum is zero. Also called additive inverses.

ordered pair:

A pair of numbers that identifies the location of a particular point on a graph.

ordered triples (X, Y, Z):

The set that is the solution of an equation in three variables.

origin (on a graph):

The point of intersection of the coordinate axes. It is designated (0. 0).

origin (on a number line):

The point on the number line associated with zero.

outcome:

The result of an experiment.
