In addition to the removable drives above, many manufacturers
make tape backup drives. Tape backup drives use media similar to that of
an audio cassette. The advantage to a tape backup drive is that it can
hold enormous amounts of data (up to 16 GB each cartridge). But, with its
capabilities, tape drives are very slow at accessing data. It is only useful
for backup purposes.
