Lydian Mode
The lydian mode is used over a major chord progression. This mode is used for styles of soloing.
The modes, like scales, can be broken down into 5 different intertwining positions.
The RED notes are the root notes of the mode. ( In this case the root note is G ) The GREEN notes are the rest of the notes in the mode.

These are the chords used to make up the lydian chord progression. First you pick a key to play in " A B C D E F G ". Then you use the chords under the key, to form your progression.
