Aeolian Mode

What is a mode? A mode is like a scale, but with some added notes that give a particular mode a certain feel. The aeolian mode is used over a minor chord progression. This mode is used for ROCK and BLUES styles of soloing.

The modes, like scales, can be broken down into 5 different intertwining positions.

The RED notes are the root notes of the mode. ( In this case the root note is G ) The GREEN notes are the rest of the notes in the mode.
