The 14th World Taekwondo Championship and The 7th Women World Taekwondo Championship was held at the Butterdome Stadium, University of Alberta, Edmonton, Canada from 2nd to 6th June 1999. It was hosted by WTF Taekwondo Association of Canada with tournament director Grand Master Hyung Keun Min.
