Itzhak Perlman

Perlman was borne in Tel Aviv, Israel, in 1945. His instructor, considering Perlman's brilliant technique and musicianship, deemed his talent "utterly limitless." Perlman, a child prodigy, came to New York at the age of thirteen. There he studied withe the influential American teacher, Ivan Galamian. As a violinist, Perlman tours and records extensively. Further, he frequently appears in concert withe the Israeli-American violinist, Pinchas Zukerman. Perlman is a strong proponent of equal rights for the disabled. For, he, at the age of four, was crippled by polio. He is blessed withe good health and to this day remains alive and well.
