"It is not yet time to celebrate. There is yet so much to do. It is time for a lot of hard work. God made us win but it is for a purpose that we still have to accomplish."

Relief and joy are the first things parents feel when the fruit of their labor, the child, is finally born. The same feelings apply here too, because after close to 3 months of hard labor, the EDSA website is up and running! We feel like proud parents, theteam.article8.image1.jpg (14857 bytes)ready to show off our "baby" to the world, ready to reveal the intricate mechanics that we have delved so deeply into for the past few months.

Of course, it wasn’t easy, it never is.

Building the darn thing required a wealth of talent and resources, some from places that we had never even heard of. Pooling our resources was as always, a hard task.

Thankfully, there was the ever-comforting presence of Ronald McDonald (and his big red shoes) to light our way. Not to mention that purple thingamabob Grimace.

Thankfully nobody’s temper flared (especially Jason’s, who’s persistence is one for the books). Deadlines were kept to the utmost of our capacity, which caused many things such as missed cartoons, missed trips to the mall, video game deprivation, sleep deprivation, etc… However, this product of countless hours on the computer, several phone conversations and faxes, hundreds of pounds of french fries, several gallons of Coke and coffee, lost hours of sleep and hundreds of resource pages is well worth the effort.

We can say that there ain’t no greater feeling than accomplishing a mission. We set out to bring to the advancements of technology possibly one of the greatest events in the world, and that we proudly did.
