Wrote this note during: February 25, 2004 my 18th Birthday
I was born during the 1st Edsa People Power Revolution Feb. 25, 1986 at exactly the same time Ex. Pres. Corazon "Cory" Aquino stood and swore in Edsa as the 1st Woman President in the Philippines. I do not know much about the happenings during the time when I was born...LOL...am only a baby anyways (^^,). Thank you very much to the team whom worked on this for this site helped me a lot. I became prouder and even more motivated to stand up in the future as one of the great good leaders of my country with a strong faith and love in God.

Reading this site, I could hear the loud sound of gunfires,sirens,ambulance-exactly what i heard & saw in Mendiola, protecting then Malacanang Palace.I was then a pre-law student in UST.Heading towards EDSA with co-LFS,I know we were just a grenade away to death, bravery,& curiousity. But I am proud to say today, I was a part of history. Now married to a foreigner with 2 kids, I could lively recount to them what the first PEOPLE POWER was.Proud to be Filipino.

i was only 14 yrs. when the EDSA Revolution happened. i don't understand much about the why that great time in our country's history came to being. but one thing i know is how abusive the dictator was. after EDSA i could say that i was really proud of being a Filipino. People Power revolution broke into the worlds history. captivating other countires whose people have also suffered much from thier own dictator. 17 years after EDSA, i asked myself, where are we now? all i could say is that we are back in square 1. true, we are free from the savagery of a dictator, but still we are the same old country, full of turmoil, dis-unity and chaos. We have been through 4 administrations since marcos. still nothing has change. Nothing.

maybe it is true na wala ring nangyari sa edsa revolution kc nga alam ninyo naman ang kustombre ng pilipino, "utang na loob" duon din nasira si cory. during elections puro promises, promises, that was before, ngayon naman pera naman ang pianpairal. kelan kaya magbago ang sistema ng pilipinas. mahirap ng maging bayani pa tama na yung pagbuwis ko ng hirap nuong edsa one. palagay ko dapat baguhin yung lection code ng pinas na walang magkamag-anak na nakaupo kahit anong posisyon from barangay to president.

I lived in the Philippines for two years and never knew very much about the details of the first people power revolution. I am currently a university student here in America and I am studying political science. I chose to do research on the political system of the Philippines because I always felt like the people there were being taken advantage of. I am glad to learn of the miracles that happened in 1986. I feel that, like your national hero Jose Rizal wanted, educating people of their rights and capabilities will bring about greater change in the future. I still admire the faith and courage of those who participated in the revolution against the oppression of the Marcos regime. I will always remember the kindness and love the Filipino people showed me during my stay there.

No country in history have ever done what the Pilipino people accomplished, however the state of the economy of the Philippines is still very low. The Armed Forces of the Philippines condition is at the lowest state of readiness; no fighter planes, 1 flyable C-130, 6 flyable UH-1H and some observation planes. The Senate of the Philippines should have provided money for the AFP to keep up w/Asian neighbors. Look at the oil rich Spratley Island, it is now occupied by five countries. During the US Bases presence, there were no occupiers in Spratley except the Philippines. You should invite the US Bases back, that way, I can have many Pinay girlfriends. Regards to all.

The 1986 EDSA Revolution wasa great success to the Pilipino People, it is recorded in history. But 16 years later, the same crooks, plunderes and cronies of the Marcoses are running the economy of the Philippines with their ill-gotten/stolen wealth. The $11.8 Billion deposit of Irene Araneta is still in Swiss bank account. How can you call this a successful revolution.

I hate the Aquino Edsa Revolution in the philippines when they ousted the late dictator Ferdinand E. Marcos. Fabian C. Ver is innocent on Aquino/Galman Double Murder Case. He did not celebrate the day after the assination on Benigno S. Aquino. I know who's the two masterminds behind the Aquino/Galman Double Murder Case are Fidel V. Ramos and Juan Ponce Enrile.

The site is greatly done and very informative. This is a very big help for history students. Edsa Revolution of 1986 has been the Philippines' most unforgettable contribution to world democracy. We should continue to share and keep alive the spirit of EDSA to our children and for the free people of the new generations to come!

Hey! It was nice to relive the spirit of EDSA'86 once more. I was there with my whole family and I witnessed how our fellow Filipinos walked hand in hand, barricaded the tanks and gave flowers to the soldiers. I was only 10 years old then but I still remember the event as if it was only yesterday. I'm glad there are still people out there who took time to rekindle the spirit of freedom and brotherhood in the hearts of those who were actually there and experienced it first-hand. I hope you continue to inspire the old as well as the young generation with this site. God Bless and more power in all your undertakings!:)

You have been successful in upholding a soon-to-be-forgotten turning point of our history. Last August 21, only 100 people commemorated the event. Next year, only the Aquinos will.
I pray that your endeavor will reach hundreds of people, particularly those who belong to our generation.
