Books are weapons in the war of ideas!

Yugoslavia
The former nation of Yugoslavia existed from 1918, following World War I, and 1991, when political and ethnic conflicts rent the nation apart. During World War II, Yugoslavia attempted to maintain neutrality, despite heavy Axis influence to submit to Italy and Germany. Germany invaded Yugoslavia, and exiled the monarchy. Numerous liberation groups remained, but none were as powerful as the Council for National Liberation, led by Josip Tito. Tito assembled an army of over 100,000 soldiers and conquered vast amounts of Yugoslav land. The American and British militaries supported Tito in 1943, and in 1944 they helped to mend the rift between Tito and the exiled government. In conjunction with Allied forces, Tito launched an offensive against German occupation forces in September of 1944, and the country was cleared of Nazi armies by October.
