Books are weapons in the war of ideas!

Washington, D.C., USA:

During World War II, the capital of the United States became very important, compared to its prewar status. During World War II, numerous offices were set up in the temporary buildings left over from World War I, and many people came to the city to accommodate for the growth in the bureaucracy. In May, 1943, Washington was the site of the Trident Conference, and in 1944, the foundations for the United Nations were set up at a Washington, D.C. estate, Dumbarton Oaks.
