| V-Weapons: |
| This term is used to describe the experimental weapons that Hitler used against the Allies towards the end of World War II. The V-weapons were designed to be long-range remote projectiles. The V-1, or the "buzz-bomb" was an unmanned jet plane carrying explosives to its destination. Their range was impressive, but they were far from accurate. Less than a third of the V-1 missiles actually reached their target. The V-2 was much more devastating. This weapon could have been extremely deadly to the Allied war effort, but Hitler did not see the value in them and did not order any to be made until it was too late. |
