Books are weapons in the war of ideas!

Tokyo, Japan:
During World War II, the city of Tokyo, Japan was first bombed on April 18, 1942, which caused severe damage to the city. However, the United States would continue to raid the Tokyo skies, and by the end of the war, large sections of the city were reduced to rubble. During the fire raids between March and May of 1945, 56 square miles of the city were destroyed, which was over 50% of its total area. After the war, Allied forces occupied Japan and helped to rebuild the capital.
