Books are weapons in the war of ideas!

Erwin Rommel (1891-1944):
Erwin Rommel was one of Hitler's most prized field generals in World War II. He headed a tank division in Hitler's advance toward the English Channel, and his exceptional leadership prompted Hitler to give him control of the Afrika Korps in North Africa, for which he became internationally known. He led the Afrika Korps brilliantly butdid not receive any reserves from Hitler, and as a result, eventually lost the campaign after driving the British forces eastward to El Alamein. He was then put in command of the defense forces in northern France from the Normandy invasion in 1944, but again, Hitler did not seem to want to help Rommel achieve victory. He ordered Rommel to defend the coast with a much smaller force that was available, since Hitler was intent on the existence of a second wave of Allied forces at another landing point. Rommel was accused of being accomplice to the plan to assassinate Hitler but committed suicide before he could stand trial.
