Books are weapons in the war of ideas!

Chester Nimitz (1885-1966):
Chester Nimitz was the American naval officer in charge of the Pacific fleet in World War II. Along with Douglas MacArthur, he was responsible for the implementation of the strategy known as island hopping, which was capturing border territories around Japan to use as bases for more internal attacks. His leadership was largely responsible for key United States victories at the Battle of the Coral Sea and the Battle of Midway. Nimitz was also the official representative of the United States at the Japanese surrender in 1945.
