Books are weapons in the war of ideas!

Chamberlain, Neville (1869-1940):

Chamberlain was an important British statesman, and served as prime minister to his country from 1937 to 1940. He is mostly known for his appeasement policy to avoid war at all costs. This policy is best represented by the Munich Pact of 1938, when the Sudetenland, an area of Czechoslovakia that is predominately German in ethnicity, was ceded to Hitler in order to avoid German aggression. However, Chamberlain's hope that Hitler's expansionist ambitions would be appeased was shattered when Hitler attacked Poland in 1939. Chamberlain immediately led Britain to war, but was largely unsuccessful. In 1940, he was forced to resign due to his health and was succeeded by Winston Churchill.
