Is there an easier way to read the bass clef?

Hi: I am a church organist, at the time I started to
learn the organ, I was taught to use cords rather than
learn to read the bass clef, can any one tell or demonstrate how to read the bass clef. It would make it a lot easier when I work with our choirs.
