Decieves

To score a touch in foil, you need to lunge at your opponent. The only problem is that your opponent will be trying to parry your blade and thus block your attack. There is a way to foil (no pun intended) their parry. In the decieve, you loop your blade around in a small "u" to the other side of the opponent's blade while in your lunge. This is all accomplished by small movements of the fingers, large arm movements may look like a break in your attack and give right of way to your opponent. Practice these by having a partner attempt to parry your attacks, then decieving around his blade.
