Poem

Ode to the Sun
By: Holly Bernitt

The Sun
Man's friend and foe
The bringer of joy
The bearer of woe

Under your beams kingdoms
Have come and passed by
And just today
Under your rays
My epidermis you fried

Oh great Sun
Your light illuminates the world
And your strong heat
Causes worms to wiggle and curl

Under your hand
We, doth grow
But in your land
It doth snow

Oh great Sun
Thou art a friend
But also a foe
A bringer of joy
A bearer of woe
