Tarot Cards

The Sun is the 19th enigma of the tarot deck. The tarot card for the Sun shows a disk of the Sun or Astral King surrounded by straight and flame-like rays of golden red in an alternating pattern. This symbolizes two of the Suns aspects, warmth and light. It has also been depicted as Amon Ra with his spear in hand.

Modern tarot cards illustrate the card as a young couple under a golden spray in a green field with a wall nearby. The young couple symbolizes the Zodiac sign Gemini under the influence of spiritual light represented by the Golden spray. It's symbolic of the reality of things and related to purification, and is also a source of great riches as illustrated by the golden rain upon the couple.
