As a toddler, Earl Wild's parent played classical music on their phonograph. Wild would have the ability to go up to the piano, hit the same pitch the music on the phonograph was playing. He was not yet three years old.

At age six, he could read, sight read and play almost any music put in front of him. He was placed in the music program for the musically talented in the now Carnegie Mellon University. By 1937, he had graduated at age nineteen.

By this time, Wild also became a composer. He has been asked six times to performed for Presidents of the United States - consecutively. Wild has composed dozens of music, performed in countless concerts and in concert halls all over the world. He has also recorded and sold thousands of his albums.
