1903-1983 - Born in Pennsylvania, Hines
was a pianist and bandleader during the the 1920s and beyond. Hines coupled a powerful bass sound with a unique, stressed rhythm. Among his greater works include “A Monday Date” and “Skip the Gutter”, both written in 1928.
